This has been another meaningful year for me and for the Foundation. I am grateful for the opportunity to support organizations that are meeting real needs today while also working toward better answers for the future. In 2025, our giving reflected that balance by helping strengthen communities, expand opportunity, improve access to care, and support research in areas where people deserve more options.

 

One of those areas is brain health. Building on our past support for psychedelic research in mental health, we funded work exploring the connection between the brain, the body, inflammation, neurological disease, and depression. The science is complex, but the goal is simple. We want to support responsible, evidence-based research that may lead to better understanding and better care.

 

Our Women’s Health Portfolio also continued to grow, and this work remains deeply personal to me. Too many women in menopause still feel dismissed, under-informed, or alone when trying to understand their health. We are supporting patient-centered solutions that improve education, reduce stigma, and help women advocate for the care they need. Women’s health deserves serious attention, and we are helping drive real change.

 

At our second Edge of Medicine summit, we heard from researchers, doctors, and patients working through some of the toughest questions in health care. They shared what they are learning, where the gaps still are, and why this work matters so much. I left feeling inspired. We will continue to keep pushing for better research, better care, and better results for patients.

 

The Giving Tour continued this year, and it remains one of the most meaningful parts of our work. I value these visits because they bring us directly to the people doing the work in their own communities. Every stop teaches us something about what is needed, what is working, and how we can help so that everyone can thrive.
